The 10-in-105 Challenge in a nutshell...

The principle is simple - a challenge for Leah and Kate to both go out on at least 1 date with 10 guys in 105 days.... Hopefully find someone awesome, but at the very least have 20 stories between them to tell the world and learn something in the process!

10-in-105 Rules

Ground rules:
  • Dates must be set and carried out within the 105 days time period -
  • The 10-in-105 Challenge finishes on August 12 2010
  • No-shows do not count as a date
  • Exclusivity is strictly prohibited after only one date. At the discretion of the Committee, approval may be sought after the second date.  The Challenger may make an executive decision in her own right after the 3rd date (provided 3 different contestants have been dated)
  • Repeated dates do not count towards the 10-in-105 goal
  • In order to protect the dignity of the gentlemen, they will be assigned a number in accordance with the order that they went on a date and who they went on a date with. For instance, the guy who is Leah's 7th date will be referred to as Mr. L-7, or Katie's first date is Mr. K-1.
  • Referring of the dates from one contestant to another is not prohibited.
  • First dates must be 1:1 - ie group events will not be counted.
  • Contestants are not to be advised of the Challenge without prior approval of the Committee (this ensures the integrity of the dates - no sympathy dates allowed!)
Scoring system:

Each date starts with 50 points. Extra points get added or subtracted according to the following scale:
  • Looks +/- 10
  • Ease of conversation/personality +/- 10
  • Date paid for food and/or beverages consumed +/- 10
  • Date ordered alcohol +/-10
  • Discretionary +/- 10
Based on the number of points accumulated at the end of the date and the overall impression a star rating will be given out. Worst date  being 1 star going to 5.

For the avoidance of doubt... The winner is the first to finish, or the second to forfeit...

So,if we win the guy, we lose the challenge...isn't life bitter sweet ;-) No doubt tho - some things are worth losing for...

The scoring is just to rate the dates so you can get an idea of just how well they are going... plus you need some way of comparing the 20 dates!
